There are all kinds of ways to interact with the world. Unfortunately, we don't always take the time to really notice and interact with ourselves. Today, Danielle Ottosen will help us all make more peace with our bodies while learning to eat what we want and feel great!
Dr. Danielle Ottosen, Ph.D. is a psychotherapist who specializes in addiction therapy and holistic nutrition. After spending nearly 15-years working in the prison system, helping incarcerated men and women break the shackles of addiction, she became known as the resistance expert. She now helps clients overcome resistance to their subconscious beliefs that keep them on the vicious cycle of yo-yo dieting, body-image addiction, self-deprecation, emotional eating, and personal destruction- that are often fed by attempting to live up to the impossible standard of beauty portrayed online and in social media.
Dr. Danielle specializes in an addictive mindset that fosters poor body image and unhealthy relationships with food. Her mission is to help women develop an effortless relationship with food and nourish a new appreciation for the body they have, so they can find peace and let go of the deep-rooted, toxic beliefs of being flawed. She fully embraces that a number on the scale does not equate to worth, health, or happiness.
Dr. Danielle has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News, Boston Herald, as well as over one hundred other media sources. CBS News stated, “Dr. Ottosen offers a dramatically different take on beauty than today’s standards.” While ABC stated, “Ottosen helps transition to healing from the wounds of the past into a place of self-respect, acceptance, and ditching the diet mentality.”
