When it comes to ADD - attention deficit disorder - I've read a lot of books. I thought they were describing my youngest daughter, that they had been following her around. Then I shared those books with my guy. He was surprised and asked if they were following him around, because he was the kid who was running up and down the halls and delivering the principal's messages to the teachers because they couldn't keep him in his seat. And then my sister said, Jackie, you know, they finally figured out why I struggled so much growing up. They told me that I actually have dyslexia. Now I can learn some things that are going to help me navigate the world. I thought that those comments were amazing: that all of those tools help people navigate the world. But then I met Carol Vincie; and she has convinced me that everything that I knew about ADHD and dyslexia wasn't true! So here she is to explain that and to help us all find out what is the truth about these two labels.
Carol had a very successful corporate career in the fact-paced, challenging, high-growth information technology field. In addition to her typical 60-hour work weeks, she managed these demands of a series of personal entrepreneurial ventures. Her ability to understand processes enabled her to navigate multiple industries including brokerage, banking, insurance, health care, and engineering to name a few. In her corporate roles, she was the contact person who passed the clients' business demands for products along to the engineering and programming staff for implementation. Carol's strengths include out-of-the-box thinking, critical listening, unique solutions, and candid feedback. These skills, combined with her trailblazing leadership, make her the person you and your team need if you want to accelerate your growth. She has worked in the venture capital arena building teams and making connections with investors and main street businesses to build teams for stability and growth.
