What To Do When Your Business Coach Is A Bully - Katie Miller | TSPS 148
Monday Dec 06, 2021
Monday Dec 06, 2021
Jackie has been told that she can go places that angels fear to tread. So she is going to go ahead and name the elephant in the room, actually the bully in the room. Jackie is going to do this in the bravest way she can think of and interview her eldest daughter, Katie.
We are going to go with this concept of what do you do when your business coach is a bully. So this is really a subject near and dear to Jackie’s heart. So, from Katie’s point of view, what do you do when your business coach is a bully?
Katie Miller is the eldest daughter of Jackie and one of the co-founders of the Teen Suicide Prevention Society. When her sister broke the silence of her suicide attempts, Katie was surprised that she only had vague memories of the initial attempt and no recollection of any others. What she does recall is something different. Katie recalls how hard, or impossible, it was to talk to her parents or her friends' parents about “the hard stuff” and what was going on. When Katie became a mom herself, she knew things were going to be different. Katie had one main rule when it came to her son: he could talk to her about anything without judgement or fear of consequences. Now he is a teenager, and this “judgement free” house is something his friends are grateful for.
